Club member since 1951

My Cycling Story...
I have been a member of VCC since 1951. I held my first committee post as Time Trial Secretary aged 17 years. Have served on the committee in many other capacities, including Club Secretary for 19 years and President for 8 years. I raced in time trials, road racing and primarily as a track rider with reasonable success in all three. I'm proud to have helped lay the foundations for our Club riding as it is today.

About My Role...
I am the Senior Committee Member to represent the members views on the committee, assist with the Club runs venues, I look after the Club Trophies and I am responsible for the engraving each year. I also assist other committee members with their duties using my experience of running the VCC.

More About Me...
I enjoy leading the Socials group on Club runs and continue to look for more venues, suggestions welcome! I am also a club time-keeper and assist in judging at Gosling Park Stadium for the Friday night Track League. I enjoy watching cycle racing in all its forms, especially track racing. I also work in a bike shop part-time at St Albans Cycles just to see every aspect of cycling which has been and continues to be my life.
