Rules governing the award of club trophies: These Rules apply to rides by First Claim, Youth and Life members only and must be decided by 31 October in any year. All trophy winners will receive a shiny keepsake presented at the Annual Dinner and Prize Presentations.

Road, track & circuit trophies |

- Senior Road Race Championship (Presented by Mr RG Gray)
Awarded annually to the most outstanding rider in road and circuit races by the agreement of the fellow Club riders competing for this trophy. An award will also be given to the runner-up.
- Sankey Cup - Junior Road Race Championship (Presented by Mr F Sankey)
Awarded annually to the most outstanding rider in road and circuit races by the agreement of fellow Club riders competing for this trophy. An award will also be given to the runner-up.
- Veterans’ Road Race Trophy
Awarded annually to the most outstanding rider over the age of 40 in road and circuit races by the agreement of fellow Club riders competing for this trophy. An award will also be given to the runner-up.
- Schoolboy Circuit Trophy (Presented by AG Brazier)
Awarded annually to the most outstanding rider in Juvenile circuit races.
- Rollings Cup (Presented by Mr Rollings)
Awarded annually to the most outstanding track rider.
- Don Wiseman Trophy (Presented by Mr D Wiseman 2000)
Awarded annually to the most outstanding track rider under sixteen years of age.

- Weedon Shield (Presented by Mr Weedon 1948)
Awarded annually to the rider with the best average speed over 50 and 100 miles and 12 hours. An award will also be given to the runner-up.
- Ladies BAR Trophy
Awarded annually to the lady rider with the best average speed over 25, 50 and 100 miles. An award will also be given to the runner-up.
- 1935 Committee Championship Cup
Awarded annually to the rider with the lowest aggregate time for 25, 50 and 100 miles in closed Club, Inter-club, Association events to which the Club is affiliated and any Open event. An award will also be given to the runner-up.
- Junior Championship Cup
Awarded annually to the junior or juvenile with the best average speed for two 10 mile and two 25 mile events in closed Club, Inter-club, Association events to which the Club is affiliated and any Open event. An award will also be given to the runner-up.
- Schoolboy Championship Cup (Presented by Mr R Bigg)
Awarded annually to the Juvenile aged 14-16 with the best average speed over any two club 10 mile time trials.
- Under 14 Schoolboy Championship Cup (Presented by Mr R Bigg)
Awarded annually to the juvenile under 14 with the best average speed over any two Club 10 mile time trials.
- Halsey Shield - Veterans Championship (Presented by Mr B Halsey)
Awarded annually to the rider over the age of 40, who has not qualified in the National VTTA BAR Competition, with the best average speed over 10, 25 and 50 miles, calculated in miles per hour and compared with the rider’s relative age standard as shown in the VTTA age standard tables.
- Ian Stokes Trophy (Presented by I Stokes)
Awarded annually to the rider with the best aggregate on standard over their fastest six rides in the Club evening events. The age standards are as follows :

Ladies times are +3 minutes in all groups.
- Seabird Trophy (Presented by Mr C Bird 1997)
Awarded annually to the rider accumulating the most points in club time trial events. The points are assigned as follows : 20 points for first place, 19 points for second, 18 for third and so on until one point for 20th place. In addition, three points are awarded for starting an event.
Prizes are also awarded to the riders finishing second and third in the points total and to the first lady.
- Verulam Cup (Presented by Mr S Hathaway)
Awarded annually to the rider with the best average speed over 10, 25 and 50 miles, applying BBAR rules. An award is also given to the runner-up.
- Memorial Cup (Presented by Mr H Shawyer)
Awarded annually to the rider covering the greatest distance in 12 hours.
- CP Sisley Cup
Awarded annually to the rider with the fastest time over 100 miles.
- Freddie Folds Cup
Awarded annually to the rider with the fastest time over 50 miles.
- Jubilee Cup (Presented by Mr E Kent 1952)
Awarded annually to the rider with the fastest time over 25 miles.
- Men’s 10 Mile Cup
Awarded annually to the male rider with the fastest time over 10 miles.
- Ladies 10 Mile Trophy (Presented by Stan Miles 1996)
Awarded annually to the lady rider with the fastest time over 10 miles.
- Ladies 25 Mile Trophy
Awarded annually to the lady rider with the fastest time over 25 miles.
- Ladies 50 Mile Trophy
Awarded annually to the lady rider with the fastest time over 50 miles.
- Ladies 100 Mile Trophy
Awarded annually to the lady rider with the fastest time over 100 miles.
- Priory Cup (Presented by Priory Wheelers)
Awarded annually to the winner of the Club Hill Climb.
- Evans Cup (Presented by Mr Oddy Evans 1933)
Awarded annually to the novice riding the fastest 25 mile time trial. For the purpose of this event, a novice will be deemed as one who has not beaten 1 hour 15 min 0 sec for a 25 mile time trial prior to the beginning of the year.
- Giradot Cup
Awarded annually to the rider with the lowest aggregate handicap times over 25, 50 and 100 miles in closed Club, Inter-club and Association events to which the Club is affiliated.
Riders will be handicapped by comparing their last performance (including private time trials) at each distance during the previous three seasons with the following standard times :
25 miles 50 min 50 miles 1 hr 50 min 100 miles 4 hr 0 min
Riders with no previous performance will be handicapped on their first 25 mile time, with handicap times for 50 and 100 miles being decided by the Club Handicap Committee.
The names and times of riders proposing to compete for this cup shall be given to the Time Trial Secretary by 31 March.
- Harry Shawyer Memorial Trophy
Awarded annually to the winner of the Club 25 mile time trial.

All Club place-to-pace riders to be timed by an official Club Timekeeper and accompanied by a Club Committee Member in a motor vehicle.
- Hitchin and Back Cup (Presented by Mr T Gridley)
Awarded annually to the junior or juvenile with the fastest time from St Albans to Hitchin and back. A fee of 25 pence is payable for each attempt. The start and finish to be at the milestone 2 miles east of St Albans City Centre. (‘St Albans 2 miles’) at Oaklands on the A1057 and the turn to be the roundabout at the junction of the B656 and A602 Hitchin/Stevenage road.
- Bicester and Back Cup (Presented by Mr W Whitehouse)
Awarded annually to the Senior rider with the fastest time from St Albans to Bicester and back. A fee of 50 pence is payable for each attempt. The start and finish to be at the westbound bus-stop on the A4147 St Albans/Hemel Hempstead road, and the turn to be the roundabout on the A41 just before entering Bicester.
- Puckeridge and Back Trophy (Presented by Mr J Mepham)
Awarded annually to the Senior rider with the fastest time from St Albans to Puckeridge and back. A fee of 50 pence is payable for each attempt. The start and finish to be at the milestone (‘St Albans 2 miles’) at Oaklands on the A414, and the turn to be the roundabout on the A10 at the junction with the A120.
