HILL CLIMB 7th October Matt Pumo cracks the 'Clarke' mould by winning the '07 hill climb. 26 riders provide a splendid turn-out.

NORLAND 25 F1/25 23rd September Luke Clarke wins with a superb 54:26 and the VCC takes the team prize with Ian Brazier and Steve Clarke putting in excellent rides.

RIDE 4A REASON SUCCESS 24th June Another great event for the Verulam. Despite a wet morning the field exceeded 140 riders - another club event record. The entrants included riders of all abilities and ages and everyone seems to have returned tired but happy. Thanks again to Richard for running a 1st class event and to all those who contributed to it in various ways. www.ride4areason.org.uk

EVENING 10 COURSE RECORD FALLS TO ROSS 12th June Ross Clarke betters his course record on the Tuesday evening 10 cutting it to 22:34. Another record turn out of 14 riders with no fewer than 12 personal bests. What an evening! view

CHILTERN 100 - A HUGE SUCCESS FOR THE VERULAM Putting the Verulam squarely on the cyclosportive calendar the Chiltern 100 came good! With a full turnout and a perfect day, the Verulam really showed that it can stage a major public event. A text book operation saw the club put on a show to match the best. Roll on next year and thanks Eddie for your inspiration!

TEAM VERULAM WIN NORTH ROAD MEMORIAL TROPHY 22nd May Ross Clarke, Tim Gray & Roger Porter rode Verulam to victory in the team prize on the F14/25. Ross 2nd overall, Tim 1st vet (std.) and Roger 2nd vet (std.)

2 RECORDS BROKEN - EVENING 10 22nd MAY A perfect evening saw a new course record by Ross Clarke and no fewer than 7 new PB's. A record turnout of riders too, with 14 starters. view

WELWYN HILLY 50K SUCCESS FOR VCC 10 VCC members start, Luke Clarke takes 2nd overall with Ross Clarke 3rd and VCC taking the 1st and 2nd team prizes. A result!

SHUBERT BLITZES THE HARD RIDERS A convincing win from Jonathan on a cold, clear but extremely blustery day. Nice to see Ian Cunningham back in the saddle too.

CHILTERN 100 CYCLOSPORTIVE GOES LIVE Registration continues to go strongly. There are now just a few places left so register now if you want to ride! An uncompromising 107 mile road romp across the toughest and most spectacular terrain in the Chilterns. Medio fondo also available at 63 miles.

TEAM VERULAM RETAINS THE HARP SHIELD For the 2nd year running Verulam fielded the fastest team at HARP CC reliability trial held the on 28th January. The shield returns to the Verulam trophy cabinet
