Based in the cathedral city of St Albans, we are just 25 miles to the north of London, and close to the M1, M10 and M25 motorways - just a few miles from the Chiltern Hills and quiet Hertfordshire lanes. The club was established in 1927 and now has more than 150 members, participating in and organising a wide variety of events throughout the year.
The mainstay of our club is the 'Sunday Club Run' where members meet to ride with cyclists of their own ability in 4 to 5 ability groups ranging from novice and returning cyclists to competitive race standard. An active clubroom meets on Monday evenings.
Verulam CC has a history of excellence in racing and time trialling. Today the club fields a trialling team and members regularly ride Cycling Time Trials / League of Veteran Racing Cyclists / British Cycling Races / UK Audax cyclosportives, national / international cyclosportives, leisure rides and track events. Members also organise informal mountain trail biking in the London and Hertfordshire area.
